Phillips Distilling Company is currently inviting candidates to apply for a full-time Sr. Regional Sales Manager – West Region opportunity. Summary:
The Senior Regional Sales Manager develops, manages, and maintains business relationships with Phillips Distilling distributors within the West Region to meet or exceed all qualitative and quantitative regional and business objectives. This position has responsibility for leading the Regional Sales Manager team assigned to the West Region.

Essential Functions:

  • Meets or exceeds net sales goals and all annual Company objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains strong professional relationships with key distributors and trade professionals in all markets and the regional level.
  • Executes and manages effective pricing, promotional and incentive programs and calendars to ensure on and off-premise distribution and merchandising goals are achieved.
  • Conducts quarterly business review/planning meetings with distributors, including annual surveys with distributors and Phillips senior management.
  • Effectively utilizes company and partner systems, including Phillips Business Intelligence, Oracle expense reports, UKG Goal setting and vacation requests, VIP Analytics, and Southern Glazers Compass and Sales Nav.
  • Conducts creative and informative general sales meetings and select team meetings; responsible to educate distributor sales managers, sales representatives and key on and off-premise staff on PDC brands and promotions.
  • Ensures distributors maintain adequate inventories of product and point-of-sale materials to fulfill all sales programs.
  • Effectively engages and manages key, local retail, on-premise accounts and national and regional chains based within the region, as directed by the Senior Director of Sales.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of all components of cost-of-goods, FOB, distributor, and retail pricing and manages all promotional, travel and entertainment budgets to ensure the Company is maximizing profitability.
  • Initiates recap letters following all “work-with(s)” and meetings with distributor personnel, ensuring adequate and timely follow-up as required.
  • Plans and submits monthly calendar to Senior Director of Sales.
  • Serves as an ambassador for the Company and its brands and above all, has fun!

  • Must have strong knowledge of spirits and route to market logistics and a passion to learn.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Must have the ability to maintain current knowledge, skills and/or certifications relevant to assigned job responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of sales management experience within the distilled spirits industry.
  • Valid driver’s license with adequate insurance coverage.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for supervising a minimum of two Regional Sales Managers.

Work Location & Travel Required:
Must reside in or be willing to re-locate to California State. This position requires up to 50% travel within assigned geographic area including occasional overnight travel, evening and weekend work as required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a home office setting and in the field. This position requires the ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time and requires regular driving of a motor vehicle.

Salary Range
$140,000-$160,000
Where a candidate may or ultimately will fall in the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location and experience.
